Parent Education
Dog Aware Class: Preparing for Life with Dogs & Kids
Starting Thursday, February 26th at 6:00 pm.
This 4-week, education-focused class is designed to help caregivers confidently navigate life with dogs and children—whether you’re expecting a baby, have young kids at home, or regularly host visiting kids or dogs.
Class details:
4-week class, 45-minute sessions, $120
Handlers/guardians only (no dogs)
Topics we’ll cover include:
Dog body language and stress signals
Dog-aware skills, supervision, and proximity
Understanding grumble & growl zones
Managing homes with dogs and children
Visiting kids, visiting dogs, and real-life management strategies
Training and supporting real-life skills
This class is perfect for expecting parents, families with young children, grandparents, and caregivers who want to be proactive, informed, and dog-aware.
